people have been asking, "what have you been up to lately?"

well since my last post, i've taken the NCLEX (THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS!) and cried, gone to SF several times, been to a few BBQs, celebrated some birthdays, had a few guitar lessons, attended a wedding in boston, watched toy story and inception, wondered why dan lau is so weird, received my first mani/pedi, went to a retreat, and much much more. i'm sure you wanted to know all of that. =P

sdiddyLT: are you back on the better coast yet?

it's funny how when i'm in boston, i cannot wait to be in CA.. but when i'm in CA, i long to be in boston. i've said this before, but it just shows me how God has blessed me with two amazing groups of family and friends. yay!

this past saturday, we went on a 21+ mile bike ride. i put + because some of us decided to go on a little detour. actually it was not so little. we ended up lost but found a map. went back a little and got lost again. instead of turning around, we were lazy and tried to find a way over the murky water that separated us from the road we were suppose to be on. the man of the day, brian led us through prickly plants and the mud (i was only stuck once!), and we finally trudged our way back onto the original road. by the end of the day, not only were my legs, back, and butt extremely sore, i found the back of my hands darker than the back of my fingers. great.

cindy and i are starting to bake more. so far we've made snickerdoodles, several batches of cream puffs, strawberry shortcake cookies, and the world's most amazing chocolate chip cookies. tomorrow we are going to make chocolate chip and toffee bit cookies with peanut butter drizzled on top. what should we make after that? it has to be something that can be easily served to a bunch of people. =]

since the last post till now

i should really post more of the funny things that go on but this is all that i can remember for now...

"congratulations denice, jeff, gerome"

my mom killed a fly by slapping her hands midair:
mom: wow! i'm SO excellent! i'm SO proud of myself! WOW! i'm SO excellent!

my dad listens to german music although he doesn't understand a single word. apparently he thinks the melody is catchy. he said this when the singer was saying "ai ai ai ai ai!"

i can never see dylan in the same way again.
someone: wow dylan is really attracted to your arm.
someone else: wow, dylan is standing! he has good balance!
someone: WAIT. AHHHHHHH!! HE'S HUMPING ________'S ARM!

minnie has an invincible toe! it protects her from anything falling on it.

mom: help me pull out my white hair!
minnie: remember that time when we pulled out the wrong one? and then couldn't even pull it out cause it was so thick.
cindy: mom's hair is almost as thick as minnie's pinky toe.

cindy: my toes are not fat. they're beaaaauuuuuutifull.

i like riding dollies!

more randomness

mom: what do you want to do this weekend?
minnie: i want to go to disneyland
mom: but you're FROM disneyland
minnie and me: FROM disneyland!?
minnie: is that why you named me minnie?

cindy: dylan can moon walk

did you know dylan had another name before dylan? in chinese, "little chee chan"

thank You Lord for friendships! i love hanging out with dear friends that i met in Boston in CALIFORNIA.

if you have the time and happen to remember, please pray for me as i study for the NCLEX!

hi, i'm back

matt wong has been insisting that i start up my blog again. like him, i hope to keep this running for a while.. but unlike him, i'm not sure how insightful my posts will be. this IS where i'm suppose to put the random things.. but since i left boston, i'm thinking this may be a good place to update people?? hm, we'll see.

not many people know that i stayed at the kim's residence for my last 1 1/2 weeks in boston. here are some of my recollections:

-koreans eat well. i feel like i could have had korean bbq (yum!) whenever i wanted. at the end of the day, mrs. kim would also ask me for a detailed list of what i ate to make sure sarah was feeding me well. what a great mother.

-"taken" was a good movie. why? cause the protagonist didn't die, there as a "happy" ending, and no inappropriate scenes. i especially enjoyed the moment when sarah freaked out after i tried to point something out to her from the movie. she's a great movie buddy!

-sleeping was interesting. i will never forget mrs. kim's strength and boldness in pushing me into the center of the bed while i was still sleeping (well, not anymore) that first morning at 6am.

-ATTACKED by a fat poodle. yes, i was attacked by an ugly fluff. those things are evil. but i still like doggies. i miss dylan.

-went to my first game at fenway park. red sox vs. oakland! at first i was rooting for red sox, but by the end my heart was back to oakland. jared was sad. i still like mike lowell though but jared said he's getting old.

-received the BEST GIFT EVER. funny how when i left CA to go to boston, i received the same thing. i feel so blessed to have two great families on both sides of the country.

since being back in CA, i've been to a wedding, studied for the NCLEX and unpacked 6 suitcases (YES, be proud!).

i've also witnessed cindy step in dylan's pee with her bare feet.
